HYER LUV'S SPA GUESTS

Mookie came to Hyer Luv for a new look.2-5-05

Imagine my saddness to see that Mazie was allowed to get pelted again. You see her on this site from last May when she was going to be shaved and then grown in and kept up.  We have put her on the calendar for 8 weeks I hope never to shave a sweater off of her (or any dog ) again. It is not good for the companion.  It literally injures the muscles and tendons of your groomer and it cost more in broken combs, dulled blades and time so that translates into costing you more money. Mostly it costs the dog in trust and security.  No dog deserves that. 10-15-03

Balou a pom came for a clip. Mom wanted a teddy bear.  I think we made that happen. The first photo is after his bath and brush out. The second is the finished groom. 8-28-03

Sometimes it takes a while to see who is under there.  Dodger came in today pelted.  He had parts tacked to his body.  After he was all cleaned off he was a cute older poodle. He was very good about the painful mats being removed. We hope to see Dodger on a more regular basis. 8-18-03

8-11-03 before and after Patrick likes his new look.

Cage is having his undercoat removed.  We had hair all up and down the driveway.  His mother was thrilled that they could pet Cage and not have clumps of coat in their hands and on their carpet. Hyer Luv can do a blow out of your best friend or a specialized de-shed treatment or both. Call for your best friend.

They say that black and white photo's show drama and destination.  I think that Chester should then be in b/w.  For his first groom this son did well.  He is about a year in age and of course since I have all the latest and greatest grooming gadgets.  He was slightly overwhelmed by the nice whirlpool effect and the pretty bubbles and sweet smell of the Hydrosurge.  The clipper vac felt good but where was I gonna put that blade was of concern.  And well, for who wouldn't it be? He put up a brave front but I could tell he liked the hugs and treats the best.  And when he was done and his owner picked him up he was almost proud looking don't you think to show off his new do. Head up high as if to say look at me! 6-21-03

The next two guests are referrals from a new client Mrs. Sims we wish to thank you for your compassion in rescuing Buddy and for allowing us to participate in his care.  Your trust in us by your referral is a grand reward.

Izzie came to us with his double coat knotted to the guard hairs.  She was tossing hair balls every step she took.   Her mother would like her in a longer groom but only has in the past had her professionally groomed once every year to 18 months.  After we discussed why she blows coat and possible solutions she was so happy. She stated none of the other groomers took the opportunity to talk with her about Izzie and her coat texture and care needs.  We are going to start with an 8 week appointment now that she has lost the damaged hair and had a hot oil treatment. We will de-shed and work on brushing *which she is not fond of due to lack of experience) and see if we can find a coat length pleasing to parents and pleasing to the light colored carpet. 6-10-03

Another child that didn't want to be seen or should I say that could not be seen before the groom. Sophie's mother was thrilled and I could tell by the comments of her grand son and how she hugged up Sophie (and the size of her tip) that she was thrilled with how we went from fluff to fantastic. And she was so good about the procedure! 6-10-03

Sadie refused to be photographed before her new doo.  But look at that smile now. 6-5-03

Zeke is a very course full coated golden that likes the lake and woods.  He talked his father in to letting his mother get him a sensible trim for his active life style. 6-4-03

Every bride needs her spa day.  Ashley was no exception.

Never too soon to start to ensure your child knows grooming is a rewarding and enjoyable experience!

Nothing like showing off well groomed children.  It just makes you want to smile!

Greet Buddy. He is a very tight curled little guy that pelts and picks up dust better than any cleaning product on a swisher mop. He came in for a spa treatment that included a deep cleansing bath.  moisturizing conditioner fluff out and trim.  I think I see a smile there. 6-4-03

I took Ben's photo hoping that you could see the mass quaintly of coat that is all over the tub (me the walls the floor the ceiling) this is hair that will not be on Stacy's floor with the baby crawling about.  We have a special de-shedding process that Ben here really enjoys. It not only consists of a massaging warm bath with fragrant shampoos and conditioners but an intense de-shed process known by only specialized trained groomers. Ben will look, smell, feel, and be able to sneak about the house not leaving a tell tail trail anymore...Go Ben!

This is Lil Bear.  Last time he was in was 8/02 his parents got busy.  They wanted to save his head and tail.  I made him a Lion.  see that pelt in front of him?  That is a TUBE. It is the hair I peeled gently from the base of his tail to save some tail hair. 6-3-03

Say hello to Skeeter.  It was his first visit to Hyer Luv and I could tell his mother was thrilled by the size of her TIP (that went right into the rescue fund) Poor Skeeter was a solid pelt. But his temperament allowed me to hand strip him into cute again. 6-3-03

We welcomed Wilson to our care.  His family didn't intend to let him go this way. They bought this OES from a big talking breeder.  The dog is profoundly deaf.  The breeder decided not to take the dog back as expected. So it was time to make the best of it for the dog. He also as you can tell in the photo's has a potential ear infection.  Something else that gave that away is the wild head shaking. I was sad to have to strip him all the way down. But he had a chance to get a nice bath and hot oil to enhance his skin care potential. His father is now putting him on a 6 week rotation. 5-31-03

Gracie's family made the commitment to drive all the way north from Grand Rapids because they desired more than a groomer.  The wanted a compassioned total care giver for their daughter.  We were honored to be chosen. Her family thinking they were doing a good thing bought "puppy wipes" to clean her.  It did a fine job of scenting the coat and tightening and creating mats.  Please only use the wipes for necessary clean ups they are not for total baths.

Phoebe just "begged" for me not to show her before photo.  She is a very beautiful companion and wouldn't like her before jade anyone's thought of her! (grin) 5-17-03

This little boy was found running the neighborhood and a kind couple took it from the middle of a busy road.  I offered to care for him. He answered to Blackie. They have ads in the papers to find the parents but they are willing to keep him if they can't find a home.  He was more than matted and pelted there were areas of raw skin. His nails curled under twice.  Poor boy. 5-5-03

Mazie likes water.  Her parents let her get away from them.  She was one large MAT. On the side you can see where we shaved one side and leg and it held together like a sweater. Mazie's parents were thrilled that now se is not only clean and cute but can swim all she wants. 5-14-03

Sam poodle was pelted to the skin. There were bugs into his skin that had died in the mats. His owners were so upset.  They bought a brush out of the Rescue Room and vow to keep him up. Sam can look great grown out we can't wait to help his parents put him in a cute cut. 5-13-03

Alice is a Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier.  This is not the traditional clip for this breed but it is a clip that allows a happy puppy and gives the owner the care flexibility she wanted! 5-7-03

Hailey Before her groom.  Felted/Pelted to the skin.  Happy Hailey after we were able to save some of her coat and make her more comfortable. Her mother was thrilled she wasn't "scalped" like at the last stylist.  4-16-03

Lucy before her closer clip...she mats to easy per her owner. Lucy after I wish she had her tail over her back as she usually carries it.  It is lovely.  Her mom wanted her to have still some of the tufts of hair on her ears and feet she thinks that looks cute. 4-21-03
