Philosophy
Hyer Luv Cockers - passionately dedicated and committed to the American Cocker Spaniel. Hyer Luv the best of nature and the best nurture to create the best in cockers. Pups leave the den between 10-12 weeks of age so that they may be nurtured and evaluated. At that time they have had all 6 wormings and their first 3 shots (min). And have traveled and socialized in multiple situations which is critical to proper emotional and physical development. We work from an interviewed waiting list, I feel it is important to use my skill as a breeder and knowledgeable of my whelps to help select families and pups that will have traits in common so the placement is successful. The largest complaint when a dog comes into our rescue is that the pup did not fit in the family. I feel it is urgent that you and I learn about each other for your success with your dog. (click on "waiting list" to request information on the interview process...start by telling us about you, your family and experience with dogs, why you want a cocker, what you like and do not like about cockers please put this in your first email so I know if I qualify to be your breeder) and research our breeding's to ensure the best quality cocker we know how to create. We spend time with prospective owners (e-mail, phone, snail mail and in person when possible) acquiring information so we may help them select the best companion for their lifestyle. The pup's care kit comes with foods that they have been weaned to (since we send companions all over the world we try multi foods...this checks for possible allergies also.) leash, booklets and information we have put together on companion care, pedigree, contract, health records (parents and pup's), pup's first hair cut (done at two weeks and saved in a heart envelope. Pup is groomed weekly thereafter to ensure grooming is seen as a pleasant time) and pup's first photo. (all of these things go in the scrap book we suggest you start with your family). Needless to say we want only committed owners for our beautiful cockers. We give a written promise but in return so do you! If for any reason you are unable to keep the companion, you are required to make us your first call, even if you have a home in mind already. We still want to know where each of our "children" are. We would be happy to help you find the right companion for you...even if it isn't a Hyer Luv Cocker. We know a wealth of wonderful breeders and would be happy to help. Consider RESCUE!! Recycled LUV is some of the best open your heart to a needy companion and be rewarded with many years of devotion. AND AS ALL COMPANIONS SHOULD BE, FOR THEIR HEALTH AND WELL BEING ,HYER LUV COMPANIONS ARE PLACED ONLY ON A SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT!! This is just a general out line...because there are many things that make us and our pups more than just "any" cocker I do not list them here as then "anyone" who copies my processes could impress upon others that their cockers are "just like" a Hyer Luv...Think about it...there must be Hyer Luv!
Hyest Luv,
Sam
