Over the years we have had many letters from our companion families raving about the exploits of their cocker(s) and thanking us for caring. Here are a few. We had a computer crash (ok well two of them and lost many wonderful letters. If you wrote and it is not here and you wish to have your letter/story and photo of you and your dog posted please write again!) and I lost many many many dear letters that are stored only now in my heart. If you have one you sent and want to resend it please do share.
Don't know that I can add anything original to all of the wonderful
feedback so far. I have two Hyer Luv cockers, Myst and Mellie. My
vet
says they have the healthiest, best temperment Cockers he's ever worked
with. In fact, it is a large vet practice and all of the doctors comment
on how beautiful and sweet they are. They travel with us every where and
are the hit wherever we go.
Sam has also helped make other members of my family very happy Cocker
parents by helping to find homes for rescue dogs while matching dog
personalities with human personalities. Successful stories in every case.
Best of all I made some wonderful friends in Sam and Fred. Our friendship
expands beyond the dogs now and I wouldn't dream of buying a puppy or
adopting a rescue dog from anyone but them. In fact, someday soon I want
to expand my Cocker family with another of their beautiful puppies.
Sincerely,

Lola has been high
priestess of our family for a bit over a year now.
We could not have asked for a better cocker.
If you are lucky enough to be chosen as a Hyer Luv family, you will truly be
blessed.
Sam and Fred have found their niche in life, and I am thankful we found them.

We have two HYER LUVs. Hugs and Kisses. Miss Hugs is
a black and tan beauty. And Kisses (our first boy
dog) is a chocolate and tan LUVER BOY! They are the
sunshine of my every day! Sam took the time to give
them our scent (by giving them a stuffed animal that
was held on to for several weeks while we waited for
their birth). Sam played tapes that we sent telling
stories, making sounds, letting them "hear" our homes.
I even made a video she our puppies could see their
new home, hear me tell about their new home, back
yard, even their water pitcher they could drink water
from to keep their ears dry. Sam took the time to
know what kind of music they would hear in their new
home. And very important, she "exposed" them to
children (when it was healthy for them) so they would
be very comfortable with our grandchildren. Our Hugs
and Kisses return to Nana Sams' on all of their
vacations (while we're gone), and for all of their
groomings. She spoils them rotten while they are
there, walks them as they are accustomed to at home,
and they love visiting with Ashley (Sam's personal
couch potatoe and best friend). I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH
WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT SAM AND FRED AND THE HYER LUV
FAMILY. This isn't just getting a dog; this is having
a family member bred and raised for you. And the Hyer
Luv family is there for you every step of the way in
raising that family member. You will never regret
becoming a member of this family by allowing a Hyer
Luv Child to enter your lives. Barb Love

PS I would have never known how sweet boy cockers
were if Sam hadn't of known me so well.
Here is my experience with Hyer Luv: Hilary B
I begged and begged my mom for a dog. She finally gave in and said "I'm not promising anything, but I'll call the AKC". She got a list of Cocker Spaniel breeders from the American Kennel Club and Sam (Hyer Luv) was about third of fourth on the list. We called the first name on the list. The lady wasn't home so we left a message. She never responded. For some odd reason my mom moved down the list (skipping two or three people) to Sam Hyer. The moment my mom talked to Sam, she knew that this was the right breeder for our Cocker Spaniel. Sam takes the time to find the perfect dog for you. She does things that no other breeder would do. We love Teddy with all our heart. Teddy has the most wonderful personality. Recently, we were at one of Teddy's puppy classes. The director gave him the sweetest compliments. She said things like "The breeder of this dog did a fantastic job, you are very lucky that you found her". She also said "Wow, this is a really b! eautiful Cocker". If we were to get another dog, Sam would definitely be the breeder we pick. I feel blessed to know Sam, not just because she gave us a wonderful dog, but because she takes the time to have a relationship with you as well. I had to do a school paper and I choose the topic of Cocker Spaniels. Sam took time out of her VERY busy schedule to go out for lunch with my mom and I so that I could interview her. I'm so happy that my mom skipped down the list of names to Hyer Luv!
We have had Buddy for just over a year now. He is our first Hyer Luv
and we will never have another breeder. The process in gaining a Hyer Luv
is worth every minute spent. Fred and Sam are more concerned with the well
being of your new family member than anything else. They take special care
in selecting a personality based upon your lifestyle (hence all those long
talks) and what you are looking for in a four legged family member. My
parents just met Buddy for the first time this week and are convinced that they
now want a Hyer Luv cocker. (Once they retire) They commented on how
they have never seen such a beautiful healthy coat on a cocker or such a
wonderful disposition.
I spent alot of time researching and talking with many breeders. We wanted
to be sure that we were ready for this step, as we had lost Buffy 2 years
earlier, and that the pup that we brought home would be healthy. I met
with many breeders who appeared to be after the $ rather than concerned with who
their pups would be placed with. Fred and Sam are very selective with who
is graced with a Hyer Luv.
Buddy only goes to Fred and Sam for boarding and grooming. The care and
attention that he received is second to none. We do not have to worry
about anything while we are traveling and know that everything is being taken
care of as well, if not better, than if we were there.
I am sure that if you priviliged to be a Hyer Luv Family Member you will be as
blessed as the rest of us.

We have now had 5 cockers as a part of our family. Three of these
cockers
(my current three) are Hyer Luv cockers. Stella, Minnie and Gracie are
more
healthy than my first two cockers. Not only that, they are so beautiful
(see attachment). Sam and Fred have always been there to answer questions,
groom, babysit, and just be friends. I can't imagine getting a cocker from
anyone else.

The Holcomb family has two beautiful boys, Winston and Stuart. Winston is a fancy black and white and just turned a year old on July 17. Stuart is an adorable 3month old black and tan. They are truly our pride and joy. They are everything we could ever hope for in companions. Of course I'm a biased "mother" but they are intelligent, loving, healthy and irresistable. Winston and Stuart are favorites with our vet and her staff because they are so easy going and well-behaved, even as puppies. I can't imagine ever working with another breeder. The Hyer Luv kennel is an extended family and one that I am proud to be a member of. Good luck to you.

MY opinion? I sure hope Sam and Fred live forever (or at least longer than me) because I will never get a dog from anyone else! Even my groomer says she has never seen cockers as fine as mine. Sam is always there for you, no matter what your question, or even if you just need to keep her posted. (As I did when my Sparky got hit by a car--and lived, so don't worry!) But her depth of love and understanding goes far beyond what you would ever expect!! You are not "shopping" for a dog. You are "choosing to increase your Family." And it will be like a marriage, or a new child, or an adoption, or some other item where your family just "extends"!
My two black/white cockers are as dear to me as my own children! Ergo, Sam is part of my family too.
Luv 'em!!
